Notices  通告

May 12th, 2018 Foreigners are welcome to Kangding by bus or by private vehicle.  Busses generally cost between RMB115-140 and take 7 hours on average because they are not allowed on the new expressway (WHY?!).  Many private drivers heading to Kangding gather outside the Kangding Hotel (Kangding Bing Guan) in Chengdu.  An average drive for a private car on the new expressway is about 3.5 hours.  A standard price for a seat in a car is RMB 200/passenger.  All areas are open except for Tsedar (Larungar Monastery).

If you need a Confirmation Letter from us to use in applying for a visa, please also send us your passport nationality and number.  Thank you.
