Take a Little Hot Spring Soak

KANGDING HOT SPRINGS

ErDao Bridge Hot Spring 二道橋溫泉

This public hot spring is located about 5km north of town.  It has a large swimming pool and private rooms.  This hot spring should most likely be avoided on the weekends and since this hot spring is also used as a public bath house, enter the water at your own risk.

COST

For Hot Spring Swimming (approximately RMB45/person)

For Individual Room with Bath Pool serve (1~4 people) is RMB10~20/person

DIRECTIONS

Go down from Zhilam and walk down left passing Square to Xi Da Street (西大街）

to take Local Bus Route 3 (RMB1, every 20 mins) to ErDao Bridge Direction till the last stop just in front of the Hot Spring.

TIME FOR THE JOURNEY

Walking 15 mins to Xi Da Street and 5 mins for Bus

 

 

LongTuGuo/Xin Yu Lin Jin Jia He Ba Hot Spring  新榆林金家河垻溫泉

This hot spring is located about 8 km south of town.  It also has a larger swimming pool, slightly cleaner private rooms with baths, and generally less crowded that the above hot springs.

COST

For Hot Spring Swimming (35 RMB/person)

For Individual Room with Bath Pool serve (1-4 people) is 40 RMB/Room

Average Taxi Cost to LongTuGuo 70 RMB

DIRECTIONS

Go down from Zhilam and walk down to Jiang Jun Bridge (將軍橋)

to take Local Bus Route 1 / Route 2 to Xing Cheng / New Town (新城 RMB1, every 5-10 mins) at the last stop Yun Zhen Wu Zhong Xin ( 縣政務中心)

Change to the Local Bus Route 6 to De Jing Bao Dui (特警部隊 RMB1, every 30~40 mins) and take off at Stop Jin Jia He Ba (金家河垻).  Walk to the right road along the Wall with Tibetan drawings 500m and go further down till end of the road next to the river. On your left, you will find the Hot Spring.

Walk Down 5~10 mins, Kangding to New Town Bus 20 mins, New Town to stop Jin Jia He Ba 20 mins, walk to Hot Spring 10 mins

Out of the Way Hot Springs

Here are some “Out of the Way” Hot Springs that might be a little harder to get to:

 

There is a new outdoor swimming complex past the entrance to MuGeCuo.  Currently free (as of 08/26/2016)

 

This little gem is located past the outdoor swimming complex further along the road.

 

There are some out door hot springs past Lung Tu Guo a couple of kilometers.  You have to walk down a steep path to the river.  (pictures to come)
