Vaccinations

You should make sure you are up to date on all essential vaccinations.  The American Center for Disease Control suggests that you should also consider additional travel vaccinations.  Please visit the    for up-to-date information on vaccinations.  At our hostel, we have had an average of 2-3 guests a year who end up staying for three weeks in order to get a course of Rabies shots.  In order to avoid the stress of a 100% fatal disease, we highly recommend the Rabies vaccine prior to coming out.  In rural Tibetan areas, dogs are trained to be vicious, so beware!

Insurance
