Suite 1

Suite One is a small room, but comes loaded with luxury. A king sized four poster Tibetan carved wood bed, plenty of pillows,  heater blankets, reading lamps, wood floors, A/C and Heating, TV and DVD, tea kettle and complimentary tea and a private bathroom.  The bathroom features a large wooden tub, western toilet, fresh clean white towels, and of course–hot water 24 hours/day.  Often nicknamed “The Honeymoon Suite”, but to our knowledge we have only had one honeymooning couple stay in the place since we opened. I guess honeymooning in Tibet is not at the top of people’s list.  If you have been really roughing it for a while and need a treat; if you are feeling down and homesick; if you want a warm bed, room service and movies all day; then this is the room for you!   Expensive, yes.  But not near as expensive as what you would pay in one of the larger hotels down town and it comes with a whole lot more personality and cleanliness!  Room rate RMB 260/night (RMB 400/night holiday rate).  Additional bed can be arrange for rmb 15/night/bed.  DVD’s are borrowed for free from the front desk
