I was there with my friend Chris for a long weekend getaway from Beijing. We both had an amazing time and I can't wait to come back. It is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in, and was also one of the coziest places I have ever been. We made great new friends while we were there and had an amazing time hiking around the beautiful mountains near Kangding. Also, Tamara, the cake we took away was amazing and made for a great lunch on the bus ride back to Chengdu. I hope you all and the kids are doing well. Hopefully I'll see you guys again in Kangding or Seattle. I know you were planning on coming back to Seattle this year, so if you ever need anything while you're there, let me know. We just want to go through to kangding quickly but we love so much this hostel with tibetan look style so much that we didn't resist to stay longer. Very relaxing, confortable, and peaceful, it's the best place to have a rest. The staff is so nice and helpfull. Just a perfect place !! A lovely place .. Zhilam was the place that turned my trip around. Even though I was sick until I returned to Chengdu, I enjoyed my time so much while I was there that was honestly the best place I ever stayed. The whole feel and warmth of the hostel along with amazing owners and staff has me missing Kangding and the Zhilam hostel even today.
